Fairytale Garden Wedding | Maplehurst Farm - Mt. Vernon | D&C

It's hard to write a blog post when there really are no words.

From our very first meeting, I was minorly (okay, majorly) obsessed with D&C. One of the main philosophies / taglines behind the KE wedding planning experience is "there's nothing quite like connecting + collaborating with two people who are head over heels in love", and these two are the EPITOME of that. Not only did they love + respect each other on a head-over-heels level, I also witnessed them show love + respect to every. single. person. in their lives. Including me, even when I was a complete stranger... which was short-lived because within minutes, it felt as if I had two new best friends.

To add to our immediate connection, it only made sense that before we even met, they had chosen to get married at one of my favorite wedding venues. Every single time I work at Maplehurst Farm, it is magical - some of my most cherished planning memories take place at this beautiful spot. Their celebration was very much added to that magical list, with their ceremony covered in beautiful blooms, dancing under the trees, the most romantic details, and joy. So much joy.

I'll let the photos tell the rest of the story, but as I write this, I am reminded of how grateful I am to have a job where I get to work with people like D&C - who invite me into one of the most exciting periods of their lives and trust me to be there for them, professionally + as a confidante and friend.

Art Deco City Wedding | Pacific Tower - Seattle | L&J

L&J were referred to me by a major boss babe (shout out to Brynn of Dandy & Fine Parties!), but our connection was amplified by our shared love of dogs and, more specifically, volunteering. They built their vendor team in ways that would allow them to give back - using Farestart, a local non-profit, for catering, and delivering their beautiful floral arrangements to nursing homes/hospitals after their wedding day. Their focus on giving back also translated to their guests and every aspect of their day was built around ensuring that each and every person enjoyed each moment.

With the help of Brynn, L&J dreamed up a design for the Pacific Tower Panoramic Room that transformed it from a corporate meeting-ish aesthetic into a bright, modern celebration space with shiny art deco accents. Chairs were stylishly covered in silver pashminas, gold-framed boards displayed guests' names on gold cut-outs with colorful tassels, clear ghost chairs lined the head table, and the stunning Smashing Petals floral designs were the star of the show on the crushed teal tablescapes. In a world full of (beautiful) pastel weddings, this wedding was a bold burst of flair and I loved every aspect of it.

Color Scheme: jewel tone hues - royal purple, cranberry, teal, navy
Favorite Décor Elements: globes with favorite quotes written on them scattered around the reception space, large signage taking over the foyer, BRIGHT pops of color in the flowers + tablescape decor to offset the overcast weather. And of course the built-in panoramic Seattle view decor element.
Favorite Moment: watching the blank slate room be completely transformed into a beautiful, colorfully sophisticated space, fit for L&J's art deco/modern vision.

Italy-Inspired Vineyard Wedding | Chateau Lill | S&C

Okay, so first of all, let's just get it right out in the open that S&C are essentially models and I'm the first to admit that I may have overdone it with their portrait shots because literally every. single. one. is. stunning. Also, let's just acknowledge/have a moment of silent awe re: S' dress. Great, moving on.

The best part about working with this couple was their love for each other - S&C always came to meetings together and always carefully made every decision together. The way they looked at each other was really really real and every single person at their wedding was literally bursting with happiness that these two were tying the knot. Their connection was palpable and they are genuine life partners through and through.

On top of working with such a "head over heels" couple (my fav type), they had a seriously unreal aesthetic vision. They opted to say their vows in the Chateau Lill forest, standing on a bed of rose petals, with candles lining the log behind them. They ate + toasted at gray-clothed, family-style tables, adorned with leafy garlands filled with pink and white flowers, under a tent strung with sparkly lights. And don't even get me started on their desserts... a small, 1-tier cutting cake, surrounded by dozens of Italian-themed desserts + eucalyptus. They truly brought Italy to Washington and it was such an honor to be a part of it all.

Color Scheme: gray, ivory, blush, green
Favorite Décor Elements: the Italian-esque aesthetic - from the vineyard chairs, to the Italian-style menu, to the cannolis in the dessert spread - all set on the beautiful DeLille Chateau grounds, the circular blanket of white rose petals covering the woodland grounds where S&C said "I do", S' beaded rose gold shawl, and the incredible garland centerpieces, carefully constructed by Chandin of Studio 3 Floral Design.
Favorite Moment: S had the biggest (prettiest) smile on her face the entire day, but it was especially radiant when I sent her down the gravel path to meet her groom.

Elegant Downtown Wedding | AXIS Pioneer Square - Seattle | E&A

Let me just start by saying that this wedding was, quite simply, one of the most gorgeously designed weddings I have ever been a part of. Let me also just point out that it looks so. effortless. My friends... weddings that look effortlessly gorgeous are, in fact, full-blown, all hands on deck, 10/10 concentrated effort. But thanks to one of the most all-star teams out there (see below for full list), we transformed not one, but two, "blank slate" spaces - Occidental Square, the public Seattle parking lot, and AXIS' concrete & brick space - to create a cohesive ethereal experience for E&A's guests.

As logistically intense as this wedding was, working with E&A was quite the opposite - we shared so many laughs and our meetings were always smooth and simple. If there were planning hiccups, E&A stayed calm and trusted me to solve them. On their wedding day, it was all smiles & joy - as a planner, one of my favorite parts of my job is when I ask my couples to "hand over" any last-minute stress/anxiety and then watch as they visibly relax and focus on being in the moment with their favorite people. In short, collaborating with E&A was a dream and I'm so honored that I had the opportunity to be a part of their dream day.

Color Scheme: blush, white, neutrals & LOTS of greenery
Favorite Décor Elements: completely transforming Occidental Square (a public area!) from bustling city parking lot to ethereal ceremony space, E's dress & tiara, the "Secret Garden"-esque backdrop behind/on the sweetheart table.
Favorite Moments: E&A walking into the reception area of AXIS to see the entire room flipped & transformed (one of their very few quiet moments, just the two of them), E's mama walking her down the aisle, and the French-inspired quartet, Rouge, serenading guests with live music during Cocktail Hour.

Boho Beach Wedding | Guemes Island Resort | J&C

Oh my goodness. This wedding. Well, more specifically, this couple. I just took a quick walk down memory lane as I went through all of the emails that J and I sent each other during our 5-month planning adventure and it's making me feel all warm and fuzzy in my heart. J&C booked me from afar (California) and our very first phone call felt like catching up with an old friend. Shortly after we made our collab official, J started her emails to me with "hey, babe" and I would respond with "hi, love". All of our interactions were so casual and split between talking about life outside of wedding planning + me being my Type A self while J calmly stayed true to her Type B counterpart. We balanced each other out well and planned one heck of a beautiful, logistics-heavy, lowkey wedding.

Color Scheme: navy blue, neutrals, pops of orangeFavorite Décor Elements: driftwood ceremony arch with gorgeous blooms, neutral-colored glassybabys on the guest tables (that doubled as guest favors), pebbles + shells hand-gathered from the Guemes Island beach.Favorite Moment: J's spontaneous decision to jump in as the official cake cutter. Guests lined up and got to spend a few minutes talking to her while she cut them their choice of Deru cake. It was perfect.

PS, do not think I've forgotten about C! I didn't get to meet him until they were finally in Washington for their wedding weekend, but he greeted me for the first time with the warmest smile + hug and I remember immediately thinking "Yep. These two were made for each other."
