J&J || July 2015 || 415 Westlake || Seattle Wedding Planner

*kellylemonphotography_J+Jwedding2015-708

I've been so blessed to collaborate with countless incredible couples - it never ceases to make my stomach flutter when I get the email from a couple saying that they want to book me (ME!) as their wedding coordinator and/or planner. I mean, think about it... hiring a wedding coordinator is essentially asking a complete stranger to handle every single aspect, large or tiny, on one of the most important days of your life, based solely on connection + trust formed from ONE initial consultation. Crazy, right? So trust me when I say I feel pretty freaking lucky to have had so many couples put their faith in me for their celebrations.

All of that said, I knew from literally the INSTANT that Jackie introduced herself to me at our initial meeting that her and her then-fiance, Jacob, were going to be more than just clients. It was like getting together with an old friend - we talked for hours, laughed, and went through all of their proposal photos together (which, by the way, involved an entire medieval setup with costumes for most of those involved AND included Jacob battling a wizard, a knight, and Barney the dinosaur for Jackie's heart). It never even felt like a "consultation". It felt like "I need these people in my life".

Luckily for me, J&J asked me to plan & coordinate their July wedding and it was an experience I'll never forget. Our monthly meetings always got off track because of the insane number of inside jokes we had together (I would try to explain, but they're all SO ridiculous... just think of those weird things you & your friends talk about that make you die of laughter every time) and ALWAYS ended with hugs. We worked through difficult logistical bumps and brainstormed DIY projects over and over until the perfect idea emerged. On the wedding day itself, I think I must've hugged Jackie at least 50 times and we were saying "love you!" back and forth.

Jackie & Jacob's kindness, generosity, and huge hearts made a huge impact on my life and their genuine, raw, perfectly imperfect love for each other is something that every person wants to have with their significant other. I am so lucky that my job lead me to such an incredible duo. BUT, without further ado, I present to you: Mr. & Mrs. Chen!!

M&B || July 2015 || Wild Rose Estate || Snohomish Wedding Planner

*B&M_2309

You know the hashtag "#goals"? Yeah. M&B are one of those couples that make you think that the second you meet them. Not only are they an incredibly stunning duo, they're also both so down-to-earth, driven, kind, and fun-loving.

Wild Rose Estate is so unbelievably stunning on its own, so M&B focused on bringing in little, personal details that exemplified their love. Gold bird cages (DIY-ed by M!) with foliage, roses, and baby's breath spilling out on top of sparkly gold napkins, photos of their deceased loved ones adorning the guestbook table, M's hand-lettered signage, and that incomparable blush & gold dessert spread are just a few of my favorite details. Not to mention their First Look, where M walked out to the most scenic little bridge and on the count of 3, they released bunches of white balloons to see each other for the first time. It was such an incredibly beautiful occasion - even Washington's crazy heat wave (at a 100% outdoor venue) had zero effect on M&B's celebration.

Cheers to Mr. & Mrs. Carlile!! It was such a dream to be a part of this couple's wedding adventure.

A&K | October 2014 | Guemes Island Resort | Guemes Island Wedding Planner

"Folk & Lore | Wedding Photography"

On the night I first met Anna, Seattle's traffic was at its finest and I was a half hour late. By the time I got to our meeting location, I was on the verge of a panic attack and figured there was no way this lovely person was going to hire me. Fast-forward to the end of our chat, when A calmly said "I don't see why we wouldn't hire you!", which 10000% made my day and the rest is history!

This wedding was a TRUE labor of love for everyone involved and definitely my biggest challenge yet. Long story short, a couple months before the wedding, we were notified that the vehicle ferry that normally runs to and from tiny Guemes Island (aka the only way of getting to and from the island) was going to be out of commission the weekend of their wedding, leaving only the small passenger ferry that could not carry any type of vehicle. With 3 rental companies, a full-service caterer, a live band, and the rest of the vendor team coming over for A&K's wedding, it could have been a complete and utter nightmare. Lucky for us, we were working with an INCREDIBLE all-star team of wedding professionals, who did everything within their power to make the process as stress-free as possible and the day of the wedding came together without a hitch (special thanks to Captain Dan, who let us use his barge to get everything there and back!).

I couldn't be happier for this sweet couple and am so honored that I got to play a part in such a genuine, joyful celebration.

K&R | May 2014 | Fireseed | Whidbey Island Wedding Planner

IMG_8108

2014 has brought many changes for me - challenges, transitions, and exciting opportunities have been thrown my way but one thing has stayed consistent... I love my job and I love my couples!

That being said, I could not have asked for a more perfect wedding to kick off the 2014 Koordination by Krisanna wedding season. From the moment I first met Kristin, I felt as if she was a long-lost friend - so many laughs and so many things in common!  And Reid? Well, he is one entertaining, charismatic dude who clearly adores his lady (I mean, an end-of-the-night serenade for his new bride in front of all of their guests!? Only true love inspires that). Kristin & Reid are not only one of the most beautiful couples on the face of the earth, they're also unimaginably fun & sweet.  Their wedding encompassed the essence of the philosophy behind KbyK - it was full of laughter, joy, and, most importantly, it was the ultimate celebration of love.

K & R had already chosen Fireseed as their venue (and caterers) before I met them and as soon as I saw the grounds, I completely understood why. Gorgeous gardens, pristine lawns, a wooden swing hanging from a willow tree, and a private boardwalk by the pond... not to mention, the newly renovated reception barn. What's not to love!? Plus, owners Dave & Dawn provided a calming presence and consistently went out of their way to be there for anything the bride and groom may need.

I hope you enjoy the perfectly captured moments by the awesome & talented Michael of Stadler Studio as much as I did! Keep an eye out for all of the personalized details throughout the day - "Aviator's Addiction" coffee for guests to take home, hand-written chalk signs (by a friend of the bride & groom), and monogrammed mustache napkins, to name a few.

 I am truly over the moon for these two lovebirds - Congratulations again to Lieutenant & Mrs. Reid Smith!!
