L&J were referred to me by a major boss babe (shout out to Brynn of Dandy & Fine Parties!), but our connection was amplified by our shared love of dogs and, more specifically, volunteering. They built their vendor team in ways that would allow them to give back - using Farestart, a local non-profit, for catering, and delivering their beautiful floral arrangements to nursing homes/hospitals after their wedding day. Their focus on giving back also translated to their guests and every aspect of their day was built around ensuring that each and every person enjoyed each moment.
With the help of Brynn, L&J dreamed up a design for the Pacific Tower Panoramic Room that transformed it from a corporate meeting-ish aesthetic into a bright, modern celebration space with shiny art deco accents. Chairs were stylishly covered in silver pashminas, gold-framed boards displayed guests' names on gold cut-outs with colorful tassels, clear ghost chairs lined the head table, and the stunning Smashing Petals floral designs were the star of the show on the crushed teal tablescapes. In a world full of (beautiful) pastel weddings, this wedding was a bold burst of flair and I loved every aspect of it.
Color Scheme: jewel tone hues - royal purple, cranberry, teal, navy
Favorite Décor Elements: globes with favorite quotes written on them scattered around the reception space, large signage taking over the foyer, BRIGHT pops of color in the flowers + tablescape decor to offset the overcast weather. And of course the built-in panoramic Seattle view decor element.
Favorite Moment: watching the blank slate room be completely transformed into a beautiful, colorfully sophisticated space, fit for L&J's art deco/modern vision.
