Lindsay & Brett decided to host their wedding at their family’s private residence before private residence weddings were cool, and it is one of my favorite celebrations of all time! I had the privilege of working with them as their wedding planner and designer, which meant several wonderful months with this fun-loving couple - planning out every single logistic and detail needed to execute a full wedding weekend on a tiny island in the San Juan’s.

B’s family property was expansive and offered so many perfect areas for each part of the day. The ceremony space overlooked a private beach, and then it was just a quick jaunt across the road to cocktail hour in the garden and dinner and dancing under a clear top tent in the meadow. With this in mind, we carefully chose each design element and redefined the term “rustic chic” - classic vineyard chairs for the ceremony to complement the beach’s natural elegance, and a mixture of live edge wood tables from Seattle Farm Tables, modern white chairs, and romantic florals designed by Erin Land for dinner. Other tablescape details included hand-painted watercolor table numbers, brush-lettered seashells (collected from the beach), and custom dusty blue menus.

Guests were also treated to a driftwood bar and vintage canoe full of refreshments, an oyster bar, and an incredible paella display (by the one and only Paellaworks). Not to mention a beautiful spread of DERU cakes - one of each flavor, please! And then DJ 100Proof did his thing so that everyone could dance the night away under the stars. A perfect day, indeed.

It was an honor and a privilege, Mr. & Mrs. Simons!!

PS — a huge thank you to every single person on the team for this one (be sure to scroll all the way through for full list!) - flawlessly executing a wedding on an island is no small feat, and none of this would have happened without you! And also, a huge thank you to the weather… it rained all morning, and cleared up just in time for photos and ceremony.

Alice & David's Beautiful Summer Wedding at The Admiral's House

The Admiral’s House is known as one of Seattle’s most iconic wedding venues for good reason. The manicured space is so versatile for any wedding design, and have you seen the panoramic views of the Seattle skyline!? After coordinating J&J’s elegant celebration at this beautiful venue, I had been waiting for another opportunity to create some more magic, and was so thrilled when Alice & David’s inquiry popped up in my inbox!

Over the course of a year, we worked through logistics, got creative with design elements to curate a unique experience, and shared many meals together (it didn’t take long for us to discover our shared love of food). My full-service planning clients always end up feeling like best friends by the end of the planning process, and Alice and David were no exception! By the time their wedding day arrived, we had dreamed up and designed a chic, romantic aesthetic with unexpected twists - like a hanging tent install (adorned with leafy vines and vintage globes), and made-to-order gourmet pizza slices for dinner.

Every single detail you see in these photos was chosen carefully and intentionally by A&D, and their incredible team pulled it off perfectly! It took three (yes, THREE) separate rental companies to execute the tented reception space, and I’ll forever be in awe of how quickly the teams from CORT, Pedersen’s, and Vintage Ambiance pulled it all off. And the florals! Ah, the florals. Stephanie’s designs throughout the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were to die for. So grateful to everyone who made it so that A&D and their guests had the time of their lives!

Lauren & Justin's Colorful Fairytale Wedding at Chihuly Garden & Glass

Chihuly. It’s one of those venues that every person in the Seattle wedding industry hopes to check off their bucket list - the iconic glass house with its red and orange hanging installation, the sheer proximity to the Space Needle, the impeccable gardens and museum. It is elegant, whimsical, and unique all in one… truly a class of its own.

I was thrilled and honored when L contacted me about being her wedding planner in general (a former favorite classmate of mine, who I simply adore!), so when she added that they were considering Chihuly as their venue, my excitement levels were off the charts! We worked together for several months via my partial planning services - curating the final pieces of their vendor team, and tying up loose ends for their design and logistics. I knew this was a wedding where every little detail mattered to both the bride and groom, and each person on their wedding team executed their vision flawlessly. Tobey Nelson crafted bright, romantic floral elements, Honey Crumb Cake Studio provided their beautiful cutting cake with “glass” made out of sugar, and GH Kim Photography captured the most beautiful, timeless images. But let’s not forget the entire staff at Chihuly - they made a very intricate logistical process seem easy, and ensured that everything was set up, flipped, and set up again (not to mention the delicious menu through their onsite restaurant). I was the luckiest to have the best team for L&J’s day and I am eternally grateful!

You were a dream, L&J!! Here’s to you and your beautiful marriage.

Elegant Washington Winery Wedding | St. James Cathedral & Chateau Lill | T&P

Have I mentioned how much I love weddings at Chateau Lill? This venue is so dynamic and versatile that each time I work there, it is a whole new experience
(see: S&C’s Italy-inspired day, and A&J’s colorful celebration)!

T&P’s August wedding was no exception - this gorgeous day began with a ceremony at St. James Cathedral, followed by cocktail hour in the Chateau Lill forest, dinner under the dreamy terrace tent, and cake + dancing inside the chateau. Each aspect of the day was thoughtfully curated by T, including the long dinner tables - draped in La Tavola velvet linens and adorned with taper candles, floral arrangements by the ever-talented Grace & Blooms, and gorgeous calligraphed accents by Euni & Co. Logistically? A piece of cake with the all-star team T&P chose to carry out their vision (Blue Box Bakery cake, to be exact ;))!

Though most of my work was with T (who felt way more like a friend than a client at the end of it all), I knew as soon as I saw T&P together that this was a match made in heaven. I am truly so grateful to have been a part of such a beautiful occasion for these beautiful people!

Ethereal Castle Wedding | Thornewood Castle - Seattle | Y&Y

We didn’t know if Y’s family would be able to be there until the week before their wedding, so sending her down the aisle with her father was an especially sweet experience.

It’s not often that I get an inquiry for a Tuesday wedding, so when I do, I am in!

Y&Y had already spent a lot of time planning and designing their Thornewood Castle wedding by the time they asked me to join their team, but I am so happy + honored that I had the opportunity to be a part of something so meaningful! Y (the bride) grew up in China, but is in the States to get her double masters - she is ridiculously intelligent and has a way of being both kind and graceful, while also commanding the room. Our meetings were unique in that I had the privilege of learning so much more about her culture, and also about the Visa system; for most of our time working together, we did not know if her parents would be allowed into the US for their wedding, due to the intensive visitation process. Luckily, the week before their celebration, Y was given confirmation that they would be able to be there, but I remember being shocked at the idea that any person would not be able to have their parents at their wedding, and promptly added that to the list of stressors I wish I could fix as a wedding planner. Logistics and aesthetic are important, but family is everything.

On the aesthetic side of things - it’s hard to make a castle wedding even more magical than it already is, but Y&Y’s day was nothing short of stunning, complete with vintage furniture for their welcome table and seating chart, and gorgeous floral elements via the infinitely talented Kelly of Botanique. Guests ate delicious food from Twelve Baskets Catering, and then finished off the night with cake from Honey Crumb Cake Studio, dancing, and the most perfect golden hour by the lake. Every detail was carefully hand-chosen by Y, so that every guest would feel they were given the royal treatment. It was truly a wedding to remember.

Dreamy Wedding in a Lavender Field | Woodinville Lavender | J&D

After a nerve-wracking week of Seattle forecasts calling for rain, the weather held all day for J&D to celebrate with their guests as planned.

There’s nothing quite like an intimate gathering in the middle of a lavender field.

From the moment I met J, I knew that this wedding was going to focus on a few of my favorite things: a smaller guest count with a big focus on little details for their loved ones. J had already carefully curated the majority of her team + her design goals prior to our work starting together, but each time we met, she would tell me a new meaningful detail that she wanted to add. Throw the already incredible Woodinville Lavender venue setting into the mix and we were set for a truly special celebration!

In theory, J&D’s ceremony was a relatively simple setup of farmwood benches + an arch framed with flowers, but the end result was jaw-dropping. After saying their “I Dos”, J&D joined guests in enjoying the bar, bocce ball in the fields, and the signature 321 Foto experience. For dinner, Herban Feast served a gorgeous array of food, and guests enjoyed a dessert spread full of Hello Robin cookies and Frankie & Jo’s ice cream, before ending the night with dancing under the twinkle lights and a sparkler send-off. Every single moment was so intentional and full of beauty, and even the weather added dramatic flair to J&D’s day.

Here’s to the same level of intentional joy + love for J&D for years to come!
